Q: What is microderm?
A: Microdermabrasion is a procedure where tiny crystals penetrate the top layer of skin aiding in the elimination of dead skin. This deep exfoliation encourages cell turnover and the promotion of fresh, healthy cells. Our skin exfoliates naturally, but as we grow, this natural exfoliation process slows. Imagine a bumpy, hilly, dry plane; this may be your skin. The bumps and hills are clumps of dead skin that are stuck on your face. Now imagine a smooth surface of polished glass; this could be your skin with the a little microdermabrasion.
When done in a succession of 7 to 10 days apart this procedure actually thickens the dermal layer and encourages collagen synthesis. This is vital in the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles and the appearance of a youthful complexion. A complement to microdermabrasion, which works from the outside in, is a peel, which works from the inside out. Accomplishing the same results, peels are sometimes preferred depending on the skin. They may also be used in conjunction with microderm by alternating treatments or done together for more dramatic results.
MD Skincare has developed a professional peel that produces immediate results with new technology providing minimal redness and subtle peeling. This procedure is fast enough to have done on your lunch break. Nobody will know what you did but they will all want what you had for lunch because you will return with the most amazing glow!
Microdermabrasion and MD Skincare“s professional peel, both work to alleviate sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation and control acne. They instantly revitalize skin“s appearance, visibly reducing pore size, evening out skin texture and tone, and regulate oil production.
